Calvary Chapel School teachers and staff are happy to be making disciples back in the classroom this school year. Our desire is to create a learning environment as close to normal as possible for our students and teachers. We have taken the below added safety steps to ensure this can be done.
Our Steps:
-Temperature checks may be done at drop off by administration as needed. Acceptable range will be below 100.0. Any student whose temperature is 100.0 and above will be rechecked after 15 minutes and then sent home if their temperature does not improve.
-Masks will be optional at this point, but this is subject to change as requirements change from local and state officials.
-Training for all staff from a local physician regarding signs and symptoms to watch for in students throughout the day.
-Additional cleaning/sanitizing throughout the day of common touch points in the building and in classrooms. Deeper cleaning/sanitizing done after each school day.
-Classroom seating will be spaced out as much as possible depending on classroom size and number of students.
-We will continue to encourage all students in good hygiene practices i.e hand washing, using sanitizer, cough/sneeze covering.
-Café & lunch will continue as usual with seating outside unless weather dictates otherwise.
Your Steps:
-If your child is sick (especially with a cough, fever, respiratory difficulties), keep them home.
-Avoid clustering in the school office. Please allow space and wait your turn in the hall to speak with office staff or sign your children in/out.
-If you choose to send your child to school with a mask, please teach them proper use as teachers will not be responsible for monitoring them.
-Send a water bottle with your child every day. Students will not be able to drink from the fountain directly, they will need to fill their own personal water bottle at the fill station.
