Middle School history

Amy Smith

Mrs. Smith received her Bachelor’s degree in Administrative Information Systems from Eastern Illinois University.  She worked in the Computer Technology field for over 20 years before teaching at Calvary Chapel School.  She first became involved as a parent volunteer then eventually started teaching a computer class to 8th grade. That role transitioned into the 6th grade homeroom teacher and now she currently teaches Bible to 6th grade, History to the Middle School and Introduction to Computers to 8th grade.

She and her husband Dave have 3 children;  Allyson who is also a teacher, Brandon who is in his last year at Southeastern University studying Mathematics, and Jacob who is in 7th grade at Calvary Chapel School.  Her desire is to teach the true Biblical roots of our country’s heritage and encourage students to become active participants in their government.
