Our mission at Calvary Chapel School is to partner with churches and families to encourage, equip, and assist Christian parents in their biblical responsibility in bringing up their children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord while providing high-quality academic education. We come alongside parents to help in training their children to become Christ-like, fully obedient to the Lord, and to fulfill God’s purpose for their lives in the home, church, and society.
Our vision is to disciple children to know God and His Word and help them develop a Biblical worldview that will shape their thinking during their time at our school and long after they leave CCS. We want the students to have a strong and genuine relationship with Jesus. We want students not only knowing about Jesus, but knowing and loving Him in a personal way. We want them to be prepared to navigate a world of ideologies in the light of biblical truth. In order to do this, they will need to be diligent students of the Bible, accurately handling the Word of Truth (2 Tim 2:15). They will also need to be doers not only hearers of the Word (James 1:22). We strive to be a Christian school that provides an environment that encourages students not only to learn about God, but to develop a personal intimate relationship with Him through worship, Bible reading and prayer.
It is our goal to provide a Christ-centered educational program which is based on the authoritative Word of God (2 Tim 3:16-17) to help students in knowing and loving God as well as impress on them a Biblical worldview.
The essential foundation of Christian education is that true knowledge comes from our Creator. Knowledge begins with an understanding of who God is and who we are in relation to Him. There is no such thing as religious neutrality in education. The very nature of education dictates that schools will inherently communicate some particular belief system. CCS communicates that God is the source of all truth. Unlike schools that exclude God from the equation and communicate that He is at best irrelevant to truth, or possibly that He does not exist at all and man determines his own truth. We believe that truth is absolute, unchanging, independent of the norm, and is knowable. Therefore, education at CCS is defined by a pursuit of that truth through knowing God and understanding the world He created. We help each student in developing a Biblical worldview which is the lens through which one sees and understands the world.
It is our goal to follow biblical principles in all we do (Col 3:23, 2 Pet 1:3). We employ and develop mature Christian teachers and staff who teach and minister to the students, families, and each other using the word of God and modeling Christ-likeness in their actions (Luke 6:40). By their wise and loving examples, students witness selfless love in real life, and learn what looks like to be a fully committed follower of Christ. Our teachers and staff have a ministry mindset and their decision to work at CCS is a calling for each one of them. Students thrive when both parents and teachers are like-minded in their desire to teach them from a distinctively Biblical world and life view.
It is our goal to be a Christian school that serves the family and local church as they train young people to have a personal and intimate relationship with Jesus Christ (Deut 6:5-7). We strive to equip the students and the parents in how to study the Bible so that they can live according to God’s Word and then to evangelize and disciple others (2 Tim 2:15).
Our students experience daily devotionals and prayer, weekly chapel with time of praise and worship and Bible memorization activities which reinforces our bible-teaching infused curriculum. For the parents, we hold Bible studies as well as classes on Biblical parenting and discipleship videos. Parents meet with each other and are given the opportunity to share and encourage each other in their task of raising children to know and love Christ.
